A Meditarranean-inspired luxury spa resort, the Miramonte Resort & Spa[1] is located in the prestigious city of Indian Wells, California, located at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains and near the Palm Springs desert resort community. This resort is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts and belongs to three of its hotel and resort collections: the Spa Collection, Meetings Collection, and Weddings & Events Collection.

In 1997, the old Erawan Gardens Hotel completed renovations and was re-opened by Marcus Hotels & Resorts as the Miramonte Resort of Indian Wells. Later, in 2004, Miramonte’s destination spa, THE WELL Spa opened. In December of 2004 the Miramonte Resort & Spa was acquired by Lowe Enterprises (Destination Hotels & Resorts) from Marcus Hotels & Resorts. By 2007, more than $10 million in guest room renovations were completed, lobby and restaurant refurbishments, and the new state of the art Mediterranean ballroom, establishing the Miramonte Resort & Spa as a one-of-a-kind destination for business and leisure guests.

Accommodations
The Miramonte Resort & Spa accommodations include 215 guest rooms, including 32 suites, each with a variety of features such as full marble bath, private terraces, and double vanities, all decorated in the Tuscan style of the resort. The five different types of accommodations available at Miramonte Resort & Spa are Superior Rooms, Luxury Rooms, Dolce Suites, Villa Suites, and Presidential Suites.

THE WELL Spa
THE WELL Spa is a destination spa with 17 treatment rooms for indoor and outdoor services, offering a variety of traditional spa services and treatments, as well as health and wellness classes. This spa resort also offers some distinctive services including watsu, bagno vino, and a “pittura festa.” Classes offered include Yoga, Tai Chi, and Hydro Yo-Chi.

Ristorante Brissago
The Ristorante Brissago is Miramonte Resort & Spa’s signature restaurant and features Mediterranean-inspired food prepared by Robert Nyerick. This restaurant is home to the Vineyard Lounge, a cocktail lounge featuring live entertainment.

Meeting Space
Miramonte Resort & Spa offers over 18,000 square feet of meeting space in a variety of function and meeting rooms that can be combined and adjusted to fit large groups. The Tuscany Ballroom is a 4,648 sq foot venue located on the lobby level. The Florentine Room, Venetian Room, Board Room, and Salon are located on the second level totaling 12,000 sq feet of event space. The 6,000 square feet Mediterranean Ballroom is located adjacent to the 3,000 square foot event lawn that leads to the Executive boardroom.

Recreation
Miramonte Resort & Spa is located near many of the Indian Wells and the surrounding Palm Springs recreational areas providing a wide variety of entertainment and recreation options including tennis, golf, pools, and other outdoor activities. There are over 100 golf courses in the surrounding area, and adjacent to the resort is the Golf Resorts at Indian Wells. Also located near the resort is the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, a 180 acre complex with a 16,000 seat stadium and over 20 clay and hard courts.

Other recreational opportunities include jeep tours to Indian Canyons, Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, casinos, museums and outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, and jogging. The resort’s on-site amenities also include 3 pools, complete with whirlpool spas and saunas.
